Alpine Star Quilt - Fabric Requirements
The Alpine Star Quilt Pattern is now available! This is such a versatile pattern and looks good in so many different color combinations. The pattern includes two different color ways (3 color & 5 color options) and comes in baby, crib/child, throw, twin and bed sizes. This is a great pattern for confident beginners looking to refine their skills. It is also perfect for more advanced quilters wanting a fun, quick and simple quilt pattern.
My favorite traditional quilt block is the sawtooth star, so I’m always looking for ways to transform it into a new fresh design. For this block, I inserted stripes into a simple sawtooth star and placed the star on point. This created a more intricate block that looks much harder to make than it actually is, which is my goal when designing any of my quilts! When I had all the blocks made, it brought me back to the first time I saw the Milky Way in the Trinity Alps of Northern California. That is what inspired me to name the quilt Alpine Star.
